Vijay - Priyamanavale:
Kushi, which geared the second innings of Vijay’s winning stroke, was followed by Priyamanavale. Priyamanavale was a remake of the Telugu movie Pavithra Bandham. Directed by Selva Bharathi, the cast includes Simran, Vivek, S.P.B. and others. In Telugu, the lead stars include Venkatesh, Soundarya and S.P.B. and directed by Mutyala Subbaiya. While M M Keeravani composed tunes for Pavithra Bandham, S.A. Rajkumar was different with his tunes for Priyamanavale. The Telugu movie was released in 1996 and then remade to Hindi and Malayalam movies and finally in Tamil in 2000. The movie is about life after marriage and difference in Indian and western culture.
