1971 INDO-PAK WAR

The third Indo-Pak in 1971 kicked off after Pakistan Air Force fighter aircraft launched a surprise attack on some 11 Indian airbases. India won the war capturing Dhaka, the capital of the then Eastern Pakistan and took more than 90,000 Pakistan Army personnel prisoner in just 13 days. As a result, a new nation, Bangladesh, was created.
