Releasing unconventionally on a Sunday, just a day short of Pongal, Samar is an action thriller with Trisha and Vishal in the lead, directed by Thiru. Vishal’s character sketch and Trisha’s charm work well for the movie that also has Sunaina.

Samar is slowly gaining recognition and there seems to be decent positive word of mouth; the movie’s chances are being elevated at the box-office with an increase in shows across the city.
