GOLI SODA MOVIE RELEASE EXPECTATION

Cinematographer turned director Vijay Milton’s first directorial venture was Azhagai Irukkirai Bayamai Irukkiradhu in 2006. He returns with his second film Goli Soda produced by his brother Bharath Seeni and distributed by Thirrupathi Brothers featuring the ‘Pasanga’ gang Kishore, Pandi, Sriram, Murugesh along with Chandni.

Goli Soda is about the life of boys in a busy place like Koyambedu vegetable market.

Milton recommends Goli Soda for the following reasons

“An identity is very important in one’s life. Goli Soda is about personal identity – about a group without any identity that strives to be recognized and the obstacles they overcome”.

About the unusual title, the director says, “soda is colorless water inside a bottle. If we apply force or handle it roughly, it would come out with a lot of fizz. There would be an unseen force from inside that would erupt out. We human beings are also like that. When we encounter problems, we come out exploding. When the happy go lucky boys are subjected to such a pressure in their life, the way they handle and come out is what Goli Soda all about”.

“Goli Soda is shot in a guerilla style as the cameras were kept hidden in already decided places which would give a very real feel. The audience would feel as though they are in Koyambedu market”.

“The visual language of Goli Soda will be different”.

“The boys have given a performance like that of seasoned artists which would be very raw adhering to the script”.

“Goli Soda is a middle cinema and I have combined in right proportion the goodness of commercial and art films”.
