There was no dearth of movies that wanted to make a fast buck during the first half either. They were mostly based on the ‘Aruva theme’ with mostly a Madurai or a village backdrop. They obviously, took themselves very seriously and in the process forgot to consider the viewership. Such movies include Thittakudi, Milaka, Goripalayam and Maathi Yosi.
