Vetrikodi Kattu delivered perhaps one of the most pertinent messages that have been told on celluloid in recallable memory. It told the story of two men who were cheated by the wily city. Do they take revenge? No, they decide to fight back in a different manner, by showing the world that nothing can bog them down. Instead of slogging away like slaves for measly wages in a foreign land, they learn to live and prosper in their homeland. There is no place like home, one does not need to fly abroad to be successful. This is a message that needs to be told and learnt even today.
