AL Vijay’s sensitive portrayal of a mentally impaired individual with the maturity of a six-year old deserves a big round of applause. The director gave us a bird’s eye view of the world of the mentally challenged and the hardships, intolerance and outright cruelty they are exposed to. Vikram’s subdued performance was never exploitative but simply heartbreaking.
