If a disciplining father’s role was written for Karthi’s character in Naan Maahan Alla, there would be no fun. Hence director Suseendiran made Jeyaprakash (Karthi’s dad in the movie) more like a friendly father. It works so well to the extent that it’s one of the finely portrayed father-son relationships in recent times in Tamil cinema.
