Will people from another planet wipe us out? The age old question of ‘are we alone in this universe?’ was reopened in Independence Day. This interest in the extraterrestrial has never died down and it probably never will, at least not in the near future, especially with some water-like substance being found on Mars. So, Independence Day showed us a highly advanced alien mother ship and other little saucers which were shielded against all forms of weaponry that humans possessed. They wanted to loot earth and it took a really smart idea, concerted and coordinated global attacks and a martyr to finish off the invaders on July 4, the day of American Independence.
