Madrasapattinam was a beautiful period film with Arya and Amy Jackson in memorable roles. It reminded the younger generation who takes freedom for granted about the blood that was spilled and the horrors that were endured so that the yoke of colonial power could be shed and we need not suffer the way our ancestors did.
