Shankar’s moving film about a freedom fighter (brilliantly portrayed by Kamal Hassan) who declares war against the system that is riddled with corruption and greed and later against his own son was a wakeup call for all who have learned to live with corruption and grudgingly accept it. The film taught us to strive for nobility and integrity in our actions.
