Jayam Raja’s first outing as a director was the sleeper hit Jayam with a brand new cast. It was a nod to every masala movie ever made with liberal portions of love, sex, comedy, mother sentiment, fights et al but it was neatly done and walked away with the approbation of the audience. Jayam Raja continues his experiments with remakes and has made it something of a science form.
