First time filmmaker, Arivazhagan has guts. He made a movie that is practically a genre unto itself. And if this were not nerve-wracking enough he carried out his experiment with a trio of actors who were virtually unknown – Aadhi, Sindhu Menon, and Nanda. It was a supernatural thriller and a damned fine one at that with some spectacular visuals, excellent performances, and glorious human drama. Eeram is a classic and heralds the entry of an exciting new talent, who is here to stay.
