Pirivom Santhippom had a theme that has rarely been tackled in Tamil cinema; it might not be wrong to say that it is a unique movie. Very subtly comparing life in a joint family as opposed to that in a nuclear family through the eyes of Sneha’s character, the movie reflected upon what we as a society are losing amidst a life of furious pace. It reminded us that nothing can be a stead for the presence of our elders in our homes. It was a celebration of the feeling of togetherness that is absent in our lives at present.
