An emotional saga of a joint family. This movie had enough twists, turns and melodramatic moments to provide for a mega serial on TV. But, Lingusaamy managed to weave all this into an on screen drama of relations and their dynamics. Maybe, the emotional and sentimental quotient of the movie was a bit too high for children to understand and appreciate, but it still remains a good and clean family entertainer. Touching performances by sentiment specialist Mammootty, able backing by Srividhya and others made Aanandham a joy to watch. To be noted amongst many other points is a zero glamour role by Rambha.
