Sundar C started out as a director in 1995 and went on to make memorable films like Ullathai Allitha, Arunachalam with Rajinikanth, and Anbe Sivam with Kamal Haasan. Then he made the surprising decision to become an actor and unexpectedly tasted success with films like Thalai Nagaram, Veerapu and Sandai becoming hits. However, his beginner’s luck seems to have run out as Aayudham Seivom, Perumal and Thee have turned out to be damp squibs. The director turned actor is turning director again with Masala Café.
