The renowned auteur was roped in by Mani Rathnam to play Suriya’s antagonist in Ayutha Ezhuthu where he impressed with a powerful performance. However, the ill-fated Rettaisuzhi saw the National award winner bid adieu to acting. He has returned back to his roots and is currently directing Anna Kodiyum Kodi Veeranum.
