For more than a year, one of the most promising
young directors of Kollywood has been lying
low. Yes, Sarvam was a bit of a debacle, but
that doesn’t make Vishnuvardhan any
lesser a director. His talent and skill have
been proved beyond doubt in his previous works,
Sarvam was perhaps an example of a movie that
was not optimally calibrated. But, it had
its high points too, which includes the awesome
cinematography, excellent special effects
and a breezy first half. With prodigious talent
and hits to prove his credentials, we need
Vishnuvardhan get over Sarvam and be back
to his winning ways. Maybe, this is like the
lull before the storm. |
