The brothers came out of nowhere to take the Tamil film industry by storm. Between the two of them they elevated the street rat to a level of respectability that was hitherto unheard of in this industry. In movies like Thulluvadho Ilamai, Kadhal Kondaen, and Pudhupettai, Selva made typical losers people turn their faces away from, the protagonists in his films and Dhanush brought them to life and somehow made them if not endearing at least interesting and more importantly human beings albeit highly flawed ones.

There can be little doubt that the brothers bring out the best in each other and we are waiting to see Irandam Ulagam their next film together.
