The
success trio combination of Selva-Dhanush-Yuvan coming
together for the third time increased the expectations
to great levels. It was the first movie for Dhanush
as the celebrity son-in-law of super star Rajinikanth.
It was director Selvaraghavan’s next after the
huge hits of 'Kadhal Kondein' and '7 G Rainbow colony'.
The stills and promos looking menacing threatening,
the storyline touted to be realistically based on
Chennai’s underworld, Sneha and Sonia Agarwal
playing the lead ladies, all played their part in
adding to the excitement. But the movie turned out
to be a dud in the box office. The critics held the
length of the movie and the loose second half responsible
for the down fall.
