Directed
by Suresh Krishna and produced by Kalaipuli Thanu,
Aalavandhan had story, screenplay and dialogue written
by Kamalhassan. Kamal playing the twin, the glamour
dolls - Raveena Tandon and Manisha Koirala, the bald
headed heinously looking Kamalhassan, breath taking
stunt scenes and lavishly done animations and computer
graphics increased the interest about the movie. There
was also a no-holds-barred aggressive promotion of
the movie from Thanu’s side. It wouldn’t
be an understatement to say that it was one of the
most highly expected movies among Kamal fans. But
the thin script and the gruesomely shot murder scenes
failed the film.
