was Produced by Sri Surya Movies, A.M.Ratnam and directed
by Shankar. It was the sixth movie in Tamil for the
hi-tech director after hitting bull’s eye five
on five. Maybe there was a section waiting for the
magician to slip, and didn’t he slip big time.
Few scenes playing havoc with family sentiments might
have played the spoilt sport. Excitingly colorful
promos, Shankar’s intuitively marketed cast
selection strategy, the mod pop songs tuned by A.R.Rahman,
fine sets of Sabu Cyril and the flossy background
raised the expectations about the movie to dizzy heights.
