DIRECTOR TODAY, FATHER TOMORROW!

One of the busiest actors of the year 2016 was actor-director Samuthirakani. He also directed the film Appa, which was critically acclaimed. He has just completed the first schedule of Thondan, the next film he is helming.

In 2014, Samuthirakani played the all important role of Dhanush’s father, in the hit film, Velaiyilla Pattadhari (VIP). The sequel to this film is expected to release this year and Samuthirakani will be reprising his role from the first part. The shooting for his portions of the film is said to begin tomorrow (4th Jan). This was tweeted by the man himself.  He said, ‘'THONDAN FIRST SCHEDULE OVER....... NALAI MUTHAL VIP2. VELVOMMM’’.

Actor Vikranth, who plays the lead in Thondan is also excited about the film and has tweeted ‘’Done with 1st schedule of #Thondan enjoying every minute working with Kani anna @thondankani n dis lovely team...happy happy’’.  2017 might be yet another busy year for Samuthirakani!
