SUPREME COURT'S NEW ORDER REGARDING NATIONAL ANTHEM IN THEATRES

The Supreme Court, last December passed an order that all theatres across the country should play the National Anthem before the commencement of a film. The Court also had ordered that every person should stand and respect the National Anthem when it is being played.
Today, the 18th of April, the Supreme Court has exempted disabled persons from standing when the National Anthem is being played before the screening of a film. This is a welcome move from the apex court.
