RAJINI MURUGAN AS RAJ VISHNU

Rights for the remake of Rajini Murugan in Kannada has been acquired by Kannada film producer Ramu. Director K.Madesh will be directing the remake with actor Sharan in the lead. Renowned Kannada actor Ambareesh is taking on the role of Ayan Kalai played by Rajkiran in Tamil. Actor Chikkanna will play Soori's role.

Shooting for the film is reported to start later this month. The remake is titled as Raj Vishnu, after the first names of legendary Kannada actors Rajkumar and Vishnuvardhan. Interestingly, Sivakarthikeyan’s Varuthapadatha Vaalibar Sangam was also remade in Kannada with Sharan and Chikkanna reliving the Sivakarthikeyan-Soori duo.

"Search for the heroine is still on.  After having distributed VVS's Kannada remake, I am happy to have obtained the remake rights of Rajini Murugan" says producer Ramu.
