Music director Dharan Kumar, who is known for his albums like Simbu’s Podaa Podi, Aaha Kalyanam, Parijatham and Naaigal Jaakirathai has composed some unique and fresh numbers for various films. He has now signed his 25th landmark Tamil film Pistha starring Metro Shirish and directed by Ramesh Baarathi.

On this special occasion, we had an exclusive chat with Dharan. He said, “It’s a very happy and proud moment. To have sustained as a music director for 12 years in this industry is a warm feeling and I’m very thankful for it. This is my 25th film and it is with my friend Metro Shirish. When I started off with Parijatham, I started with melodies but experimented with most of the genres.”

Talking about the Pistha album, an excited composer Dharan said, “Pistha will have 4 songs. 3 of them will be fun numbers. The movie also stars comedy actor Satish who will travel throughout the film which is a rural comedy. So, it will have some really cool numbers. There is a melody as well and it is a great feeling to work with my friend Metro Shirish who plays the lead. I hope to deliver my best with Pistha and my forthcoming albums.”
