Pariyerum Perumal was indeed one of the important films of 2018 that attained critical acclaim and also became a box office success. Directed by debutant Mari Selvaraj, the film had Kathir and Kayal Anandhi playing the lead roles.
It is a known fact that Thalapathy Vijay called Kathir during the time of the film's release and shared a few words of positivity with him. In his recent interview with Behindwoods, Kathir recalled the memorable incident when Vijay spoke to him about Pariyerum Perumal.
"It was a surprising moment for me. I was in a state of a pleasant shock at that time. I got a phone call through Jagdish (Vijay's manager) and it was Vijay anna on the opposite side. He told me that he didn't see the film yet, but was hearing so many good reviews and feedbacks about the film. He assured that he will see the film very soon and adviced me to choose proper projects going forward.
He shared that the people's recognition, in itself, is a great success for the film in this cinema race. He wished me good luck for my upcoming projects too. Whenever I talk to him or be with him, a sense of positivity is filled throughout the place", shared Kathir.
Meanwhile, now Kathir will be sharing screen space with the same Vijay in Thalapathy 63, directed by Atlee.
