Versatile actor Kalabhavan Mani breathed his last, this evening (6th March) at a hospital in Kochi. The talented artist has been indisposed for a while and was admitted to the hospital. Reports suggest that he was undergoing treatment for liver associated ailment.
Mani has won the National Film Award and Kerala state film award in 1999. He was a very good mimicry artist and was recently seen in the Hit Tamil film Papanasam where he made no bones to express his animosity towards Kamal Haasan.
He was also seen in Tamil films like Gemini, Modhi Vilayadu, Aaru, Mazhai, Pudhiya Geethai and Kuthu to name some.
Kalabhavan Mani’s death comes as a great shock to the industry and movie buffs as just recently director Rajesh Pillai, again a young man, had left us for the heavenly abode.
Behindwoods mourns the demise of Kalabhavan Mani and prays for his departed soul to rest in peace.
