FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER SINCE 1998, THE OSCARS TO HAVE..

American Television host, Jimmy Kimmel who is known for hosting the show ‘Jimmy Kimmel live’, was also the host of the 89th Academy awards that took place this year.

Reports now suggest that, he is the one who will host the Oscars next year as well. Jimmy is said to have received an envelope which had an invite for him to host the 90th Academy awards that is to take place next year.

The 49-year-old comedian and chat show host later tweeted with, "Thanks to @TheAcademy for asking me to host The #Oscars again (assuming I opened the right envelope)."

In the last line of his Tweet, Jimmy was referring to the mix up of the envelope that happened between the two movies ‘La La Land’ and ‘Moonlight’ for the category ‘Best Picture’. Another interesting thing to note is that, nobody has hosted the Oscars in back to back years ever since Billy Crystal in 1997-98. Looks like it is Jimmy Kimmel all the way!
