Some time ago, we had reported that there was chaos at the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati in Jaipur. The director was also attacked. The shooting of the film had to be stalled because of this. In Jaipur, the group against the film stated that the director was filming a romantic sequence between the characters of Rani Padmavati and Alauddin Khilji which was a distorted fact of history. However, the crew had denied about such a scene in the film.
Now reports come in claiming that the sets of the film in Maharashtra’s Kolhapur is vandalized and set on fire. According to reports, this untoward incident happened last night around 10.30 PM and a few cars were also damaged in the process. Police have reportedly arrested a few people. However, the director is reported safe.
Padmavati featuring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor is a fictional story based on a 16th century poem by Malik Muhammad Jayasi, as claimed by the director.
