GK Cinemas, Porur, was renovated and freshly opened on June 4th, 2016. Today is the first year anniversary of the theater. We got an opportunity to catch up with Ruban Mathivanan, Managing Director of GK Cinemas to talk about the growth of the cineplex in the past one year.
''The theater has given me an identity. It has been an excellent one year, and people often mention that this theater offers the best sound system and atmosphere in this locality. They also say that the canteen rates are reasonable and that this is an ideal place for a family to enjoy their weekend. I am really happy with the feedback that the theater has received and for the fact that we have been running in profit''. When asked about the films that have had a good run at this theater, he said, ''Kabali and Bairavaa have been profitable but Dangal was the most profitable venture, while the maximum audience came around for Baahubali 2''
GK Cinemas is home to 2 screens and is equipped with Dolby Atmos and offers 2K and 3D projection. We would like to extend our best wishes to Ruban and team for their success.
