Dhanush’s debut directorial Pa. Paandi, which released on the 14th of April, opened up to positive reviews from critics and the audience. Rajkiran, who plays a lead in this film, had a very meaty role in Manjapai, which was directed by Ragava.
 

The director, as part of Kadamban promotions, had an exclusive interview with Behindwoods. He disclosed an interesting information that he had plans to do Manjapai 2 with Rajkiran again. While talking about it, he said “As soon as I saw the trailer of Power Paandi, I immediately called Rajkiran appa and spoke to him. I felt very disappointed after seeing him in Power Paandi, wearing the jeans outfit. I even told him about it.

I had written a script for Rajkiran sir, which had scope for him to wear jeans and other modern costumes. It is like a sequel to Manjapai, and Rajkiran’s character is a foreign return. I told him that I was supposed to show him in an outfit like that first. He calmed me down and told that we could definitely do it soon. Finally, I congratulated him for the new makeover he got in Power Paandi. I liked it very much.”
