TRADE: SHAH RUKH VS AKSHAY KUMAR AT BOX-OFFICE. FIND WHO WON THE BATTLE

Akshay Kumar's Toilet Ek Prem Katha hit screens yesterday (August 11th) and last week Shah Rukh Khan starer Jab Harry Met Sejal had released. With back to back releases from two superstars, it almost looked that both of them battled in the box office.

As per reports, Shah Rukh's Jab Harry Met Sejal which released over 3000 theatres worldwide collected Rs. 15 crores in domestic box office. And, Akshay Kumar starrer Toilet Ek Prem Katha which released in 3000 theatres worldwide grossed Rs. 13.09 crores in its domestic box-office. This means Shah Rukh's Jab Harry Met Sejal did a better business slightly at the box -office than Toilet Ek Prem Katha.  But according to trade analysts, SRK's JHMS was made with a huge budget and also was sold to distributors at a high price and compare to that of the box office the movie is considered to be a below average film. On the other hand, Akshay Kumar's TEPK was made with a minimum budget and the movie was sold to distributors for a nominal price and thus the movie is considered to be an above average film.

Akshay Kumar's TEPK should be minting maximum money in the weekend and should do decent business in its weekday to be declared a hit says trade experts.
