'What will happen when your mobile phones shut down for one whole day?''

Among the 3 releases this week, Tamizhukku En Ondrai Azhuthavum is an interesting film with a different subject and a unique title. The film stars Dinesh, Nakul, Bindu Madhavi and Asif of Thuppakki fame, and is directed by Ramprakash Rayappa. When our Behindwoods Correspondent got in touch with the director and actor of this movie, some interesting insights behind the making of the film, came by.

 

When asked what was the main reason behind this novel title, the director said ''What will happen when your mobile phones shut down for one whole day? This film is about mobile network jamming.'' As off-beat as the topic sounds, when we probed about the making of this film he said ''The whole film was shot in Chennai across 60 days. We have shot mostly in live locations and hardly used sets.''

 

One of the actors in the lead role, Nakul is very elated about the opportunity given in this film. He said ''Director Ramprakash is an open-minded person. He is always welcome for improvisations and additional inputs. I was an assistant director and an actor in this film. He likes a third person's perspective.''

 

Nakul is playing the character Vasanth in this film, and he is a technocrat. About his role he said ''Vasanth is a weird person. He is like the smart last-bencher who is bizarre. He is a mobile geek and a techno nerd''. Looks like the film has also undergone a lot of research about technology.

 

About the rest of the crew he said ''Sathish, Dinesh and Bindhu have done brilliant work. I insisted on Thaman to be the music director of this film. RR and music have come out really well.''

 

When asked about some titbits about the film, director Ramprakash said ''Watch out for the scene where Bindu Madhavi confesses her love to Dinesh. There is an exciting twist in the tale that moment.''

 

Red Giant Movies will be releasing the film all over TN, in more than 200 screens.
