THALA - THALAPATHY DIWALI YET AGAIN!

Diwali is a favorite hunting period for both Vijay and Ajith, as both the stars have given some memorable hit films for Diwali in the past 2 decades. The last time the duo clashed head-on for Diwali was 12 years back when Vijay’s Thirumalai and Ajith’s Anjaneya released. Post that, they have had releases on the same day on a few occasions, but not on the auspicious day of Diwali.

This year too, there won't be a blockbuster Vijay - Ajith box-office clash but at least one star (Ajith) would please his fans with a big movie release while the other star (Vijay) is waiting to surprise his loved ones.

Yes, as planned, Ajith Kumar’s Vedalam will be hitting the screens for Diwali while the makers of Vijay 59 are planning to release their first look for the auspicious day now. So finally, Vijay fans will get to know the real title of Vijay 59 soon.

And as far as the shoot update goes, 70% of the film has been completed so far, and one of the songs was shot recently with Vijay and Samantha. Samantha’s portions for the film are on the verge of completion with hardly 2 days of shoot left. By the 1st week of January, the team is intending to complete the entire shoot portion. Vijay 59 is expected to be a summer 2016 gift to Vijay fans.

The lyrics of the ‘Ulaga thara local’ intro number of Vijay from the film was expected to be announced last week but now we hear that the lyrics will be unleashed only after Diwali. As reported earlier, Vijay would be rendering his voice for one of the numbers in the film, but the actor apparently is yet to record for the number.
