VEDALAM AND BAAHUBALI AT NO.1

Ram Muthuram Cinemas in Tirunelveli is a popular 2-screen complex in the state. They have come up with a list of their Top 10 grossers in 2015. 2015 has been a good year for them, bettering collections in previous years. Their Top 10 list is as follows,

Ramasamy Raja, a spokesperson from the theater shared a few insights with us,

 

"After Mankatha, Vedalam is the Ajith film which has been really profitable for us. And coming to Baahubali, we never expected it to perform this well. 'I''s opening was really grand during the Pongal period thanks to the Shankar brand. Romeo Juliet worked this well for a B center like us, mainly due to the popularity of its songs such as 'Dandanakka'. We didn't release Thani Oruvan unfortunately but are now screening Bhooloham which is doing well. And though Puli performed below expectations everywhere, it wasn't a loss venture for us and we recovered our investment with it."
