Suriya’s second production venture, Pasanga 2 directed by Pandiraj had its audio launched recently. Music director Arrol Corelli scores the music for this children's film and it must be remembered that he shot to fame with his maiden work in Mysskin’s Pisaasu. The songs of the film have come in for appreciation and the young music director is naturally upbeat about it. He talks about his work in the film.
“Pandiraj sir first gave me the script to read and we had discussions on how the music should come out for this film. Whatever Pandiraj was saying in itself was very inspiring. He beautifully takes you into the sequence and therefore it becomes easy for you. Pandiraj is more like my brother and Pasanga 2 was a good journey for me after Pisaasu.
For the Chota Beema number, we had tried around 50 singers and finally zeroed in on Yazhini and Srikanth. We felt these two voices suited the number perfectly and I have to say they have rendered an extraordinary performance.
Suriya thanked me for having given a heartfelt work in Pasanga 2. He and Jyothika ma’am wished me. I felt very happy”.
On his other projects, Arrol is the music director for the Kannada version of Pisaasu, Rakshashi and the film is getting released soon. In Tamil, Arrol is composing music for Savarakathi that features Mysskin who is also doubling up as the producer and script writer for the film. Savarakathi is directed by Mysskin’s assistant Aditya.
