Like the saying, “If Cricket is Religion, Sachin is God” , Behindwoods Gold Medals saw many such Gods rather Godfathers from different avenues of filmmaking honouring our event with their presence. The presenters of each medal were selected with extra care to make the medal even more special for each recipient. Here is the list of Godfathers who came in to render their support to our attempt of recognizing the deserving talents of the South Indian film industry.

 

1. Kamal Haasan - Recipient of the K.Balachander Gold Medal for Excellence in Indian cinema

 

2. A.C.Thirulogachander - Presenter of the K Balachander Gold Medal for Excellence in Indian cinema

 

3. SP. Muthuraman - Presenter of few important medals like Best Dialogue Writer received by KS Ravikumar and Creator of the Best Film on Social Issues to AR Murugadoss for Kaththi. 

 

4. K.Bhagyaraj - Presenter of the Gold medal for best screenplay which was received with a lot of joy by his disciple Radhkrishnan Parthiban.

 

5. PC Sreeram - Presenter of the gold medals to two cinematographers, Manoj Paramahamsa - Best Cinematographer and G. Murali - Find of the Year.

 

6. Sreekar Prasad - Presenter of the gold medal to Anthony and Praveen KL for Best Editing

 

7. Vairamuthu - Recipient of the medal for Golden Lyricist award.

 

8. Film News Anandan - Presenter of the gold medal for Best Book on Cinema that was received by Dhananjayan.G.
