“SURYA IS A CHARACTER WITH TWO SHADES”

Ganesh Venkatraman’s next release is Acharam which is all set to hit the screens this Friday, the 19^th June. The film is directed by Mohan Krishna who had worked with Radha Mohan. Poonam Kaur is the heroine while Rekha and Munna play key supporting roles.

On his film, Ganesh states that it is an entertaining thriller. He further elaborates on the film and his role. “The role that I have played in the film is different from the earlier ones in my career. This film is going to tell people that I can do different kinds of roles. My character is called Surya and it is one character with two dimensions to it and two different looks. One is a rustic look and the other is much stylized. One of the dimensions of this character has completely negative shade. When you watch the film, you will keep wondering and guessing if this character is a positive one or a negative one. Till the climax when it is revealed, the guessing game will be on”.

He furthers, “Yesteryear Rekha Ma’am plays my mom in the film and the mother-son episode in the film is very pivotal and would be interesting”.

“It is a very  encouraging phase in Tamil cinema now when small films like Demonte Colony and Kaaka Muttai are doing well. We are confident about our content and that we have done something different, not run-of-the-mill types. The second half will keep the audience guessing. They will be eager to come back to the seats after interval to find out what is going to happen”, Ganesh enumerates.

Ganesh is having it good with his next release Thani Oruvan releasing sometime in August and wedding bells are going to ring for him in November when he will be marrying Nisha Krishnan.
