WHY DON'T SUPERSTARS FAVOR CHRISTMAS?

Though a lot of Hollywood films plan their releases around Christmas, the Tamil industry has not tapped the potential of the holiday period quite yet.

Even the 90s have seen a very few movies planning their release during the vacation season. Having said that, the 20^th Century Tamil movies, are more than ready to experiment with their releases. In exception to that, few producers and distributors have been trying out the Christmas release and have churned out some hits too. 

The list of films released during the Santa times is as follows:

Kappal - 2014
Kayal - 2014
Meaghamann - 2014
Vellaikaara Durai - 2014

However, this Chirstmas, Jayam Ravi’s Bhooloham and Suriya’s Pasanga 2 are expected to release on 24^th of December’2015. It will be interesting to see how it pans out for producer Suriya and producer Aascar Ravichandran.
