Bobby Simhaa who played as 'Assault Sethu' in Karthik Subbaraj's Jigarthanda received the National Award for Best Supporting Actor. The 62nd National Awards ceremony was held yesterday (May 3rd) at the Rashtrapathi Bhavan, New Delhi.

Speaking to Behindwoods correspondent, Simhaa said, ''I am very thankful to my friends and family for giving me constant support. When I started acting in Jigarthanda, I didn't actually aim to win any award of sorts. But this happened eventually and I can't feel more elated about this''.

When he was asked about how his approach towards choosing scripts has changed after receiving the National Award, he said, ''The responsibility for making good films has become higher in my case now. I am purely looking for good scripts. Any film with a good story value will definitely be my cup of tea''.

Regarding his old projects releasing now, he said, ''Yes, the National Award tag is definitely helping for the promotions of my old films. I am happy that my films are getting better appeal now''.

With his Urumeen releasing in the month of June tentatively, we wish good luck to this young and vibrant actor for his future endeavours.
