JULY 8TH - BW QUICKIES...

Here are a few interesting recent tidbits in the Tamil film industry

-AP Shreethar’s Sketch Book Productions which was launched with the blessings of Iyakkunar Sigaram K. Balachander has completed its first feature film titled Maiem. The project is in the final stages of post production and it is notable that all technicians of the film are school and college going students.

-A set of enthusiastic newbies come together for a project titled Duma Goli which kick started with an auspicious pooja on July 5th at AVM Studios, Chennai. The debutant director Babu assures a comedy riot which is planned to hit the screens by the end of 2015.

-As reported earlier, actress Lakshmi Menon rendered her voice for a song called ‘Oh Koffee Penne’ composed by Rama Subramanian for the movie Kozhambi. The making video of the song was released on July 5th. We see Lakshmi enjoying herself while singing this piece.

-Actor Prashanth starrer Saahasam had a 20 days long song schedule which was shot in Malaysia and Japan at a stretch. As the project is close to wrapping, the audio release date will be announced shortly.

-The biopic, Kamarajar’s teaser was launched on July 6th. Actor Samuthirakani who plays a pivotal role in the film was found paying his respect to the great leader by garlanding his statue. The movie might hit the screen this month.
