Kamal's former director joins Uttama Villain's cast

With Vishwaroopam 2 waiting for a release, Kamal Haasan's ambitious project Uttama Villain, produced by Thirrupathi Brothers and directed by Ulaga Nayagan's long time associate/friend Ramesh Arvind is almost ready for a release.

 

A small tip-off for now. Chitra Lakshmanan with a humble beginning as a small time journalist then went on to become Bharathiraja's associate director for over 25 films and even produced a list of hits. Having directed Kamal in Soora Samharam, Mr.Chitra will now play the role of a PRO to Kamal (in the role of Superstar Manoranjan) in Uttama Villain.

 

With 90 percent of the film already shot, Uttama Villain's shoots are expected to be wrapped up by this month-end. The film is eyeing a Diwali release, say sources. Nothing is official yet about the release date.

When its just more than buying new clothes, bursting crackers and eating sweets for us, this year's festival of lights will have Uttama villain fighting against Narakasuran to bring us artistic joy and also bring about a celebration at the box office. The recently leaked teaser of the multi-starrer has been making all the right noises too.
