Friday Film Fest - The new releases in town

It's Friday and we have quite a few new releases in Tamil, English as well as Hindi. 

 

In Tamil, we have the Vemal, Lakshmi Menon, Rajkiran starrer Manjapai and the Prakash Raj, Sneha starrer Un Samayal Arayil. Both the films are expected to have their own set of audiences and they have got fairly wide releases across the city, with Manjapai getting many big screens. 

 

In Hindi we have the remake of Thuppakki, Holiday starring Akshay Kumar and Lingaa girl Sonakshi Sinha. A.R.Murugadoss directs the remake as well, and Tamil audiences are eager to see how Thuppakki has been remade in Bollywood. Filmistaan is the other Hindi release this week, and the film already carries good reviews.

 

We also have the big Tom Cruise starrer Edge of Tomorrow releasing today and given the craze for English action films in the state, a good performance is expected.
