Vijay - Murugadoss' remake gets pushed
Jan 20, 2014The Hindi remake of the A.R.Murugadoss-Vijay blockbuster Thuppakki, titled "Holiday - A Soldier Is Never Off Duty" was earlier slated to release on May 1, 2014 but it has now been postponed due to the IPL wave which is expected to rule the country during that period. The release date has been fixed as June 6 now, the first Friday after the IPL gets over.
Starring Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha, Holiday is expected to repeat the blockbuster success of the Tamil original. Murugadoss has already tasted success in Hindi, while directing Aamir Khan's Ghajini and he would be looking for another feather in his Bollywood cap.
Vipul Shah is producing Holiday which would clash with Prabhu Deva's Action Jackson, starring Ajay Devgn and Sonakshi Sinha. Both the films are expected to storm the box-office together on June 6th, 2014.
