Sundar C's Aranmanai - an inspired work?

With Horror-Comedy likely to be the flavor of the season, Sundar C’s Aranmanai is likey to cash in on the trend as early as in June this year, as per the director’s release plans. The film’s music is expected to be unveiled later this month and will mark the comeback of music director Bharadwaj.

In a little interaction, Sundar C said that the idea of doing a horror film cropped up while he was on a holiday with his family and they happened to watch one such fear fest. Naturally, with Sundar C’s involvement the comedy aspect was a given.

The director, who also plays a character in the film, promised that the horror element wouldn’t be forced or unnatural and that the audience will enjoy a new thrill in Aranmanai. He also reserved special praise for Santhanam, who plays a key character in the film, for his commitment and interest level in this project.

The film has a host of popular faces such as Vinay Rai, Hansika, Lakshmi Rai and Andrea, who supposedly plays the role of Sundar C’s sister.
