Shankar’s film after I

Director Shankar is a very passionate film maker who brought out good films and directors through his production banner S Pictures. Some of the films that S Pictures have been involved with are Kaadhal, Veyyil, Imsai Arasan 23am Pulikesi, Kalloori, Arai En 305il Kadavul and Eeram.

After a sabbatical of sorts in the interim S Pictures are now back to business. The latest reports indicate that Shankar has bought the release rights of Kappal directed by newcomer Karthick G Krish starring Vaibhav and Sonam Bajwa.

Karthick Krish had worked with Shankar in Endhiran and Sivaji, and it is said that Shankar, after seeing Kappal in a special screening, was impressed with the film and was apparently floored by the humour element. He was said to have asked the director if he could buy the film.

Now that Shankar has bought Kappal, the release date of the film may happen after I (which is a Diwali release), say sources. We would keep you posted!
