Actress Padmapriya gets married

Actress Padmapriya got married in Mumbai at a private family function today, Jasmine is the groom. Jasmine and Padmapriya met in New York City when they both were pursuing their Masters from Columbia and New York University(NYU) respectively.

A native of Gujarat, Jasmine is a post graduate in Mechanical Engineering from IIT and also has a Masters in Public Administration. His interest in the development sector made him shift from the corporate career to the development sector and he first worked on the 'Jaago Re' One Billion Vote Campaign. At present he is the Policy Head for South Asia with Jamal Abdul Lateef Poverty Action Lab, headquartered in Massachusetts Institute of Technology(MIT).

Padmapriya made her debut in Malayalam with Kaazhcha and has gone on to do 48 films across all Southern languages and also in Hindi and Bengali. She is a National Award special jury award winner, two time Kerala state award winner, Tamilnadu state award winner and a 3 time Filmfare award winner. She is the daughter of Brig.V.K.Janakiraman and Vijayalakshmi Janakiraman. She holds a MBA in Finance from Kirloskar Institute, PG Diploma in Environmental Law from National Law School and Masters in Public Administration from NYU.

Padmapriya whose latest release ‘Iyobinte Pushthakam’ is running to packed houses in the theatres, will continue to work in films.
