The Sethu connection in Bala’s Thara Thappattai

Director Bala is busy with Thara Thappattai that is based on Karagattam, one of the traditional art forms of Tamil Nadu. The film has Sasikumar and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in lead roles. Thara Thappattai assumes significance as it is the 1000^th film for music maestro Ilayaraja.

As per reliable sources from the unit, Bollywood actor Satish Kaushik has been roped in to play an important role in the film. Satish Kaushik is also a very talented director/producer and a theatre artist. He was the one who directed Bala’s Sethu in Hindi as Tere Naam with Salman Khan as the lead.

Satish is a great fan of Bala and was much excited to work with him in the film when the role was offered. He had apparently mentioned that he would blindly do any role for Bala. The next schedule is all set to begin on the 26th November when Satish would be participating in the shoots. With a swelling talented cast list in Thara Thappattai, expectations are soaring.
