Director Bala to move to Tanjore

Director Bala’s Thara Thappattai based on the folk arts of Tamil Nadu, after its pre-production stage has gone on floors recently.

The film stars Sasikumar and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in lead roles. It is said that Sasikumar is playing a nadaswara Vidwan donning a new avatar by shedding his beard and sporting a pencil thin moustache while Varalaxmi will play a karagaattam girl. Chezhian will be handling the camera while Ilayaraja will be in charge of music.

We hear that ten days of shooting of the film was completed recently in Guindy and also around some parts of Chennai with the entire cast. The next schedule is planned at Tanjore.
